I’m a Sock Addiction Enabler
I’m a sock addiction enabler, a pusher if you will. If someone indicates to me in even a very small way that they would like to learn to knit socks, I slip them that little taste that might get them hooked. I’m evil, I admit it.
Mom just e-mailed me and said she wished I live closer (than 25,000 miles away) so I could help her learn to knit socks. I recommended my favorite book on that very subject, Sensational Knitted Socks by Charlene Schurch, then went on an Internet quest for a good beginner pattern or tutorial. I found one that is so fabulous I had to share.
.
Silver’s free sock classes are fabulous, as is her enitre site, check it out and happy sock knitting!

Having just dyed up some soy silk *someone* slipped into my basket, I’d say you’re broader title should be “Iresistable Pusher of All Things Fiber”. Socks are such a small segment….

Hi Deb:
Just wanted to send a note of thanks for guiding me to the “Sensational Knitted Socks” book by Charlene Schurch. I am making Fast Florida Footies by LynnH and had submitted a question to her and you were one of the people who responded.
I was thrilled when I discovered I own “Sensational Knitted Socks” so checked it out immediately. I am now knitting along on my 2 circs with no problem.
Thanks again,
Ruth Ann Stone

You might also like Cat Bordhi’s “New Pathways for Sock Knitters”. I too started with “Sensational Knitted Socks” and I love it! Cat Bordhi’s book totally reinvents sock construction to create some really interesting variations. I hightly recommend it!
